Paul Weller, often called the "Modfather," was born in Woking, England, on May 25, 1958. The town played a significant role in shaping his early life and music career. Weller attended Sheerwater County Secondary School, where he met future bandmates Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton, leading to the formation of The Jam.

Woking’s influence can be seen in his music, particularly in songs like "A Town Called Malice," which reflects his experiences growing up there. His 1995 album "Stanley Road" was named after the street he lived on as a child.

If you're interested in exploring Weller’s connection to Woking, there’s a documentary-style tour called "The Tufty Tour - Weller’s Woking".
