The Triumph TR7, produced from 1974 to 1981 by British Leyland, was a bold departure from its predecessors, sporting a distinctive wedge-shaped design by Harris Mann and marketed as “the shape of things to come.” Initially launched as a fixed-roof coupé to meet U.S. safety concerns, a convertible version followed in 1979.
