Ten Years After were a British blues-rock band formed in 1966, fronted by the fiery guitarist Alvin Lee, whose lightning-fast solos became their trademark; they broke through with a blistering performance of “I’m Going Home” at Woodstock in 1969, which cemented their reputation as one of the era’s most electrifying live acts. Their music fused blues grit, jazz improvisation, and hard rock energy, producing standout albums like Cricklewood Green and A Space in Time, the latter featuring their enduring hit “I’d Love to Change the World.” Though they disbanded in 1974, the band reunited in later decades with lineup changes, continuing to tour and preserve their legacy as pioneers of high-octane blues rock.
