Pg. 99 (also spelled pageninetynine) was a hardcore punk band from Sterling, Virginia, known for pioneering the screamo genre. They formed in 1997 and disbanded in 2003, but have reunited multiple times since. The band was famous for its chaotic live performances and unusually large lineup, sometimes featuring two singers, three guitarists, two bassists, and a drummer.
They released three full-length albums, seven splits, an EP, two compilations, and a demo tape during their career. Their ethos was deeply rooted in DIY punk ethics, and they avoided traditional music industry practices. After their breakup, some members went on to form bands like Pygmy Lush and Malady.
Pg. 99 reunited in 2011, 2017, 2023, and 2025, often performing for charity or in response to political events2. Their 2017 tour with Majority Rule raised over $36,000 for local charities.
