New Fast Automatic Daffodils (or New FADS) were an alternative rock band from Manchester, England, active between 1988 and 1995. They blended post-punk energy with danceable, funk-infused grooves, earning comparisons to Joy Division and Happy Mondays. Their debut album, Pigeonhole (1990), introduced their hypnotic sound, while Body Exit Mind (1992) refined their style, featuring the standout track Stockholm, which gained traction in the US college radio scene. Their third album, Love It All (1995), was their swan song before they disbanded, but their influence can still be heard in many Manchester acts that followed.
