London Weekend Television (LWT) was a prominent British television network that operated as the ITV franchise holder for Greater London and the Home Counties during weekends. It began broadcasting on August 2, 1968, and was known for its diverse programming, including entertainment, drama, and arts shows. LWT was created by the London Television Consortium, which included notable figures like David Frost. The network initially broadcast from Wembley Studios before moving to custom-built facilities on London's South Bank, later known as The London Studios.

LWT's on-air identity was retired in 2002 when it became part of ITV London, though its legacy remains significant in British television history.
