Accompanied by his loyal Old English Sheepdog, Wordsworth, Jamie slid down a helter‑skelter into a world filled with eccentric characters like Mr. Boo, Officer Gotcha, Strumpers Plunkett, and Nutmeg, all brought to life with Cosgrove Hall’s distinctive, colourful animation and Brian Trueman’s narration. The show blended cosy bedtime ritual with wild, imaginative escapism, making it a cult favourite for kids growing up between 1977 and 1980.
