Frigöra was a short‑lived but explosive Japanese hardcore punk band from Kawasaki in the mid‑1990s, channeling the raw distortion and relentless speed of Swedish D‑beat pioneers like Mob 47 into their own chaotic, noise‑soaked style. Their lineup—Kaziyan, Makoto Karasawa, Matsumoto, Takahiro Genocide, Tetsuo, and Tohru Kimura—pushed out a handful of cult releases including split tapes with N.P.H. and Diskonto, the Dance of the Plague‑Bearer 12" (1998), and live recordings from Tokyo’s Antiknock club, later compiled in Fullständig Frigörelse. With tracks rarely longer than two minutes, Frigöra embodied the mangel ethos of pure speed and aggression, leaving behind a compact but influential discography that cemented their reputation among underground punk devotees.
