Flux of Pink Indians were a fiercely political anarcho-punk band from Hertfordshire, England, active between 1980 and 1986. Emerging from the remnants of The Epileptics, they signed to Crass Records and released their debut EP Neu Smell, featuring the cult hit “Tube Disasters.” Their first album, Strive to Survive Causing Least Suffering Possible (1982), delivered raw punk energy with anti-consumerist and anti-authoritarian themes. Their second album, The Fucking Cunts Treat Us Like Pricks (1984), pushed boundaries with abrasive sound and provocative lyrics, leading to censorship and police seizures. By 1986, they had shortened their name to Flux and released Uncarved Block, a dub-influenced record produced by Adrian Sherwood. Bassist Derek Birkett later founded One Little Indian Records, while vocalist Colin Latter pursued dance-influenced projects.
