Dee's Hamburgers, also known as Dee's Drive-In, was a popular fast-food chain founded in 1932 by Dee Frederick Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah. It started as a small hamburger shop and grew into a cultural landmark in Utah during the 1960s. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere and iconic "Dee's Clowns" signage, the chain offered classic fast-food items like burgers, fries, and milkshakes.
At its peak, Dee's operated over 50 locations and even expanded internationally, opening South Africa's first American fast-food outlet. However, in the late 1970s, the Anderson family sold the drive-in chain to Hardee's, and many of the original locations were repurposed.
