Bloodrock U.S.A. is the fourth studio album by Texan hard rock band Bloodrock, released in October 1971, marking a shift toward darker, more politically tinged themes and heavier arrangements. It was the first album produced by the band themselves—without Terry Knight—and the last to feature original members Jim Rutledge and Lee Pickens. Tracks like “Don’t Eat the Children,” “American Burn,” and “Hangman’s Dance” reflect a grim, satirical take on American culture, while “Magic Man” and “Abracadaver” showcase their signature blend of bluesy riffs and theatrical flair. Though not a major chart success, the album has gained cult status for its raw energy and eerie lyricism, and was reissued in 1998 with the bonus track “Erosion”.
